DESCRIPTION
The set includes:
- special PVC tube,
- 10 ml reaction fluid (for approximately 25 tests),
- universal adapter: 25mm - 55mm,
- user's manual.
Application:
If you suspect damage to the head gasket or the cylinder head itself, you can perform a check test yourself. The tester is suitable for liquid-cooled combustion engines (petrol, diesel, LPG).
In the event of a damaged cylinder head gasket or cylinder head, part of the exhaust gases containing, among other things, CO2 pass into the cooling system. The principle of operation of the device is to measure the concentration of CO2 - when the concentration increases, the reaction fluid reacts with CO2 and changes color.
How to use it:
Fill the tester tube with reaction fluid (approximately 2 ml) to the level below the chambers.
Connect the tester tube to the opening of the expansion tank or radiator.
Start the engine (preferably already warm) and run it at higher RPMs to achieve higher combustion pressure.
Let the engine idle at slightly higher RPMs and observe the behavior of the reaction fluid (the fluid should be bubbling in the tester).
A change in color of the reaction fluid to yellow or green (very minor damage) a few minutes after testing indicates a damaged head gasket or damage to the cylinder head itself.
Wash the tester tube with water and dry it thoroughly.
Attention! During the test, do not allow the coolant to mix with the reaction fluid!
If liquids mix, the test result may be incorrect!
