DESCRIPTION
Set includes: - a special tube made of PVC - reaction fluid 50 ml (enough for about 50 tests) - universal adapter: 25mm - 55mm - operating instructions Application: If you suspect damage to the head gasket or the head itself, you can perform a verification test yourself. The tester is suitable for liquid-cooled combustion engines (petrol, diesel, LPG). CO2 goes to the cooling system. The principle of operation of Device is based on measuring the concentration of CO2 - in the case of an increased concentration, the reaction fluid reacts with the CO2 and changes its color. How to use it:
1. Fill the tester tube with reaction liquid (about 2 ml) to the level below the chambers.
2. Connect the tester to the opening of the expansion tank or cooler.
3. Start the engine (preferably already warm), rev it up to get higher combustion pressure.
4. Let the engine idle at a slightly increased speed, and observe the behavior of the reaction fluid (the fluid in the tester should bubble).
A color change of the reaction fluid to yellow or green (very minor damage) within a few minutes of testing indicates a damaged head gasket or damage to the head itself.
5. Rinse the test tube with water and dry it thoroughly.
Attention! Do not allow coolant to mix with reaction fluid during the test!
If the liquids mix, the test result may be incorrect!
