DESCRIPTION
Rubbers between the coils of the spring are used to stiffen the suspension. This allows you to temporarily reduce or eliminate the problem of "bottoming out" the suspension on uneven surfaces. Inner diameter: 9cm. The use of stiffening rubbers does not require dismantling the spring, they are screwed between the coils of the spring. To do this, lift the car on a jack, remove the wheel, screw the rubber between the coils of the spring, put on the wheel and lower the car. Installing the rubbers is simple and quick, which is why they are often used as a temporary stiffening of the suspension for driving with a heavier load (e.g. holiday trips), with a trailer or bicycle rack. When choosing a stiffening rubber, first of all, you should be guided by its effective height, i.e. the height without the collars that hold the rubber on the spring. The effective height is the dimension of the rubber in a place that is directly between the coils of the spring. The rubber should be selected in such a way that the effective height of the rubber is equal to or slightly greater than the gap between the spring coils measured on the spring mounted in the car, without lifting the car on a jack. Installing rubber that is too low will not bring the expected results (additionally, the rubber may then fall out), while using rubber that is too high will unnaturally stretch the spring, which is also very unfavorable and may lead to the spring breaking. The product prevents: - the car from rocking, - the car from tilting when entering a curve, - from increasing the wear of springs and shock absorbers, - the rear of the car from settling when the trunk is loaded, - reduces the risk of skidding.
